OAB Awards

The Ontario Association of Broadcasters is proud to announce TWO NEW AWARDS – SALES and CREATIVE!

The OAB Best In Class Sales Award will recognize an individual sales person who shows their ability to recognise and speak to the needs, wants and wishes of a new client with a successful radio campaign.  (new to them or new to radio).

The OAB Creative Award will be presented to the writer/producer who creates the best 30 or 60 radio ad that inspires action, evokes emotion and produces results for the client.

Stay tuned for more details on these two NEW awards!

The OAB Promotion Award will be awarded to the station that best promotes itself!  Promotions will be judged on originality, station benefit, goals achieved and impact in the community.  Winning campaigns will have online components, be multi-faceted and focused.  Entries must have run during the 2016/17 Broadcast Calendar.

The Ontario Association of Broadcasters’ Community Service Awards are presented to stations for their outstanding contributions of airtime and staffing to worthwhile organizations in their respective communities.  The Community Service Awards program acknowledges the generosity of broadcasters and also recognizes the creativity in creating a successful public service campaign. The success of these causes in many cases lies with the broadcaster’s ability to promote and encourage people. In a time when there are so many different and equally worthy causes, it is a very difficult task to create the perfect campaign or program that will encourage people to assist those in need.

Each year, the Ontario Association of Broadcasters invites all Ontario MEMBER stations to enter their best public service campaign(s) AND best station promotion to the OAB Awards.  Winners will be selected in both Large and Small Market categories.  Awards are presented during the OAB annual conference.

Remember to save your creative for submission to the OAB Awards each year. Enter on-line HERE.
