Director of News, Vista Radio Ltd. / GM, 2day FM & Juice FM
Wendy Gray has been in radio for 27 years, most of it in small to medium-sized markets that include Bancroft, Muskoka, Niagara Falls and now Stratford. During those years she has held many positions including: morning show host, reporter, operations manager, VP of news and digital content and now Director of News for Canada’s largest pure-play radio company, Vista Radio Ltd. News highlights include covering the G-8 in Huntsville, the Caledonia crisis as well as the Elliot Lake mall collapse. Under her leadership the news department has been awarded five Radio-Digital Television Association awards for Central Canada and one National Award. The largest part of her job now is to coach young reporters on how to cover local news in a concise, conversational manner that allows Vista audiences to fully understand the impact of the stories they hear on the radio or reading online.
Vista is proud to own and operate 43 radio stations in Ontario, Yellowknife, Alberta and British Columbia.
