Radio Programming – More with More
2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Details ...

Disruption and the pandemic have permanently changed how stations are programmed.  Revenue challenges, remote broadcasting and how to engage listeners have changed how stations are programmed.

Gaps in recruiting talent have forced stations to look outside the box for talent and find opportunities for expanded content through influencers.   Stations have moved to remote broadcast scenarios and not just in our own markets but expanding content across multiple markets across the country.

Broadcasters are now challenged to find more revenue from digital content and expand content to digital platforms for maximum engagement.

How do stations navigate investing in new talent when the pool is shallow?  How can programmers coach announcers to be local, even when they’re not?  What are the challenges and benefits to bringing on-air content online?

Moderator, John Ongaro dives into these topics with Tammy Cole, Shannon Burns and Kolter Bouchard to discuss what’s changed and how to find successful engagement on and off the air.

3:45 pm – 4:30 pm

Details ...

It’s about CONNECTION. This presentation is all about the power and importance of connecting. Our modern workplace is in constant flux. From hybrid environments, to  working at home, and back to the office – it can feel downright impossible to develop a truly cohesive team or effectively connect with colleagues.

Presented through the lens of the Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team, accredited presenter Madelyn Hamilton shares this proven framework to deepen “connection”. The basic message is simple – to be as effective as possible, teams need to dedicate time and effort to Building Trust; Engaging in Healthy Conflict; Committing to Decisions; Holding Each Other Accountable; and Focusing on Shared Results.

Bringing together personalities and preferences to form a cohesive, productive, team takes work, but the payoff can be huge. It is about deepening the connection.
