Radio Works

At the 2015 annual OAB conference, the Pro Radio Committee invited members to create a compelling 30 second ad reminding listeners how awesome radio is.  The winning spot was played at the conference and sent to all OAB member stations.  With the cooperation of CBS and Target, stations ran the ad through the winter, January-March, some extended the campaign through the spring!


Part II of the Pro Radio Committee’s initiative was to ask members to create another ad directed to advertisers, to show them RADIO WORKS.  The winning spot will once again be presented at the fall conference and distributed to run on member stations.   CONNECTION 2016 will be held on Thursday, November 10th at the Marriott Toronto Airport Hotel.

Radio’s reach is at 87% of Canadians 12+, which translates to 27.4 million people each week. Time spent per listener at 16.6 hours per week. Nearly half of radio tuning is done at home, over a third in the car and 20% at work.
